Puerto Rico IN agency LIH creates its own toy holiday store chain

Lopito, Ileana & Howie has created Circo Toys, a new toy holiday store chain that has been launched in Puerto Rico in September 1st 2009 through January 31st, 2010.
The chain is owned by the agency in order to take advantage of a market left by the US Chain KB Toys (our former client) which decided to close its stores nationwide in January 2009.
In this economic crisis the agency has decided to create its own brand and new businesses to boost its profit.
The chain will offer quality brands such as Mattel, La Famosa etc. that are targeted to infants and boys and girls under 12 years old. A Holiday Store is a new concept for Puerto Rico since it will open just during the Christmas Season where 80% of toys sales take place.
The toys selection considers a Spanish and bilingual culture, being our point of differentiation vs. Toys R Us which brings everything in English. We are using Puerto Rico as a test market with the objective of going abroad in 2010 in countries with similar cultural characteristics such as US Hispanic, Latin America and Spain.
